President Javier Milei has a negative image among citizens of 55.6%, with a positive one of only 36.1%, while former President Cristina Kirchner continues to lead the ranking of governments associated with corruption cases, with 44.4%, according to a survey.
The poll also shows that regarding the case of Manuel Adorni, investigated by the judiciary for possible illicit enrichment, what most annoyed citizens was 'The use of public resources' for personal benefit, according to the opinion of 39.3% of those surveyed. This is expressed in a survey conducted by the Giacobbe y Asociados consultancy, whose fieldwork is generally close to the government, in which the figure with the best positive image stands out as National Senator and former Security Minister Patricia Bullrich, with 37.2%.
In that list, she is followed by the governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof with a 34.8% positive image (50.8 negative); Cristina Kirchner with 26.8% positive (55.2 negative), and Vice President Victoria Villarruel with a 20.6% positive image (65 negative).
According to what Noticias Argentinas agency could learn, the study consulted citizens emotionally about the country's situation, with a 'word cloud' scheme, in which 'Uncertainty', 'Hope', and 'Sadness' stand out as the most chosen.
'The Adorni case' in the opinion of Argentines
The survey made a specific consultation about the situation of the Head of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni, regarding his foreign trips and the purchase of real estate that the judiciary is investigating, to analyze what most annoyed citizens. From the responses, it emerges that the first place is headed by 'The use of public resources' for the official's personal benefit, which was the response chosen by 39.3% of those surveyed, especially among those who have a negative image of the government (59.8%).
They are followed by 'The political contradiction' between Adorni's words and conduct, which was chosen by 33.9; and finally 'The media coverage', an option that pointed out 17.3%, a figure that included 42.6% among Milei and La Libertad Avanza followers.
The historical corruption ranking
Finally, the survey measured which government, in the opinion of those consulted, has the most associated image with corruption facts since the return of democracy in 1983, and the majority chose the presidency of Cristina Kirchner. In this way, the first place is occupied by the former current detainee under house arrest with 44.4%.
The second place is occupied by Javier Milei with 31.3, followed by Carlos Menem with 8.4 and Mauricio Macri with 5.7.
